Milk labeling battle heats up
Milk labeling is much in the news lately. One news account, by Dennis J. Willard of the Akron Beacon Journal succinctly summed up why:
"Whenever farmers or milk producers state their cartons are ''rbST-free,'' an acronym for Monsanto's artificial growth hormone recombinant bovine somatotropin, the ag-tech giant wants equal time on the label." (Full Story)

EIA: average gasoline price to peak near $3.50 per gallon
The monthly average gasoline price is projected to peak at just under $3.50 per gallon this spring, while diesel prices are expected to average around $3.70 per gallon in March and April, according to the latest Short-Term Energy Outlook issued by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Regular grade gasoline retail prices, which averaged $2.81 per gallon in 2007, are projected to average $3.21 and $3.06 per gallon, respectively, in 2008 and 2009, according to the Outlook. (Full Story)
