PDQ Manufacturing, Inc. (De Pere, Wis.) and its parent company Dover Industrial Products have announced Charlie Lieb, PDQ manufacturing president, has informed the organization of his decision to retire at the end of the year. The company plans no changes in strategy or operations as a result of the announcement. Assuming the president’s role is Mike Savignac, who has served as executive vice president for the past seven years.
“I am extremely proud of our accomplishments over the past 17 years and I have full confidence in the leadership at PDQ. The time has come for me to spend more time with family and enjoying life,” Lieb said, commenting on his decision. Lieb will continue to advise until the end of the year. “We have had a succession plan in place for some time, and the organization is well positioned for the transition.”
“Charlie’s leadership has made PDQ the incredible company that it is today, and he will leave the organization well positioned for future growth,” said Savignac. “Charlie will truly be missed by all of us and by those in the vehicle wash industry.”
Acknowledged by his peers as an industry veteran and expert, Lieb is often called upon to be a speaker and has served on a number of association boards, including the International Carwash Association.
Lieb’s planned departure comes as PDQ Manufacturing is continuing to establish its worldwide leadership position in the vehicle wash industry.
